Future Creatives 2024 – Cream of Manchester

Discover Manchester’s emerging art scene as Future Creatives celebrates its 8th year! This dynamic partnership between Manchester Art Gallery and The Manchester College has been nurturing the city’s most promising young talents, empowering them to explore and present fresh perspectives in their city.

Delving deep into our collections artists and students have explored artworks from the Rutherston Loans Collection and helped illuminate what artworks still spark interest by creating art based personal responses.

On 5 July, both venues will features works of 350 students, ranging from Level 1 to 3 Visual Arts qualifications.

If you are attending the event make sure to grab one of the of 374 unique artworks created by talented students from The Manchester College. This collection began in 1925 with Charles Rutherston giving 500 works of art to enrich lives and enhance education by displaying these works beyond the gallery walls. For almost 100 years the collection was added to and shared through a series of loans schemes.
