The gallery is free and open to all as a place of civic thinking and public imagination.

The building that houses Manchester Art Gallery has stood on the corner of Mosley Street and Princess Street for nearly 200 years.
Manchester Art Gallery has an active loans programme. We are now accepting requests to borrow work from 2025 onwards.
Our activities often extend further than we could possibly imagine, due to the energy, ideas, enthusiasm and passion of our staff and volunteers.
