We endeavour to answer queries from researchers and other professionals in a timely fashion, but may be delayed due to other commitments. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to reply to general collection enquiries.
Manchester Art Gallery has a mixed programme of contemporary, historic, fine and decorative art, and costume and photography exhibitions. The programme is planned three or more years in advance. Our exhibitions and displays originate from our in-house curatorial team, direct invitations to artists, and collaborations with other museums, galleries, universities or professional organisations. Our exhibition and display areas are not available for hire.
Due to the high volume of proposals we receive, we’re unable to review unsolicited proposals from individuals or their representatives.
