Portrait bust of a middle-aged male, wearing classical robes, with his head turned sharply to the left. He is depicted as clean shaven and with curls of hair around the ears and temples. The torso has a straight bottom edge across the front and is cut away at an angle at the sides so that the bust tapers into its circular, spreading plinth.
