Summary
A young boy sits in front of an easel painting on an oval canvas. His sitter is a young girl wearing a larage cap with feather. She is flanked by two other children. Curtain and classical pillar behind with a landscape beyond on the left. Reynolds' painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy, London, in 1782. The painting is in the art collection of Kenwood House, London, left to the nation in 1927 by Lord Iveagh. It was the biggest gift of art to the nation of the 20th century. This print is a proof created before the edition went to press.
