'Runner Duck' figure
Reginald Fairfax Wells 1877 - 1951
Summary
Figure of tall slim duck standing on square plinth, reaching forward with neck and head so that top of figure overhangs plinth. Stoneware, patchy transparent glaze to reveal body in some areas. Pale streaks of white, black, grey, brown and pale blue throughout, darker patches of black around incised eyes. Plinth forms a rough uneven square shape, which feet of duck are absorbed into.
