Portrait of Lady Catherine Bampfylde (1754-1832), wife of Sir Charles Warwick Bampfylde (later murdered by a former servant); mother of 1st Lord Poltimore; after Reynolds; standing whole-length to front, within landscape, head in three-quarter profile and looking to left, her left arm leaning on a block to right, wearing her hair high and curled with a plait looped over her right shoulder, with strings of pearls fastened at her breast; white lilies at foreground right. An idealised image. From the portrait commissioned to celebrate her marriage. Published by William Dickinson in London, 1779.
