Summary
Smooth organically-shaped seat in unglazed white Earthstone stoneware clay. Rounded shape with depression for seat, front edge retracts back towards middle. Description from artist; 'The general shape is slump moulded, then shaped by hand. It is fired to approximately 1230 degrees and sanded with a diamond water sander.'

Manchester's fortune was made by cotton, but a century ago its workers were busy making a multitude of different consumer goods. Moulded glass trinkets and colourful wallpapers helped to keep the economy booming. The dark satanic mills have changed since then, and many of the old warehouses and factories have been converted into trendy flats and bars. Manchester's creative hub is once again flourishing; what you see here is just a taste of things to come. In the 21st century Manchester is still creating designs to inspire and desire, fashion to dress and impress, and music that makes us dance beyond dawn...
