Summary
Portrait bust of a middle-aged man, clean shaven and with straight hair parted to the right, wearing an academic gown and hood over a shirt and tie. The bottom edge of the bust has been left uneven and unpolished. The bust stands on a waisted, square, spreading plinth of variegated marble in yellow and ochre tones; the plinth stands on a lacquered wood pedestal, square sectioned, moulded and fitted with a title plaque.
