A bronze bust of a nude young woman with long, wavy hair which flows down her back. She looks straight at the viewer. Brown patina. This is the first portrait of Kathleen Garman who became Epstein's second wife. Epstein made seven portraits of her between 1921 and 1948. The sitter was 20 years old in 1921. Epstein nicknamed this first portrait 'Joan of Arc'.
