Summary
Public: White bone china vase of ovoid shaped with a spreading foot, decorated in blue enamel and gilt with gothic motifs and religious inscription. Private: White bone china altar vase. Ovoid shaped with narrow flared neck and wide spreading foot. Decorated in blue enamel overglaze with foliate gothic motifs. These include trefoil border around upper and lower part of foot and on either side of the inscription. Gothic inscription reads Ave Maria Gracia Plena (Hail Mary Full of Grace). There is a blue gothic roundel on each side of the body, each bordered in gilt and containing a gilt cross with trefoiled end. The roundel beneath the Gracia part of the inscription is topped with a band of gilded trefoils.
