Summary
Study drawing for an equestrian statue. At the centre there is a figure falling backwards from the saddle of his horse. The horse is facing to the left and its front hooves are raised slightly above the ground. There is an angel at the upper right background and a seated female figure at the lower right. Other figures can be seen on the ground beneath the horse. This is a design for a monument to British military heroes killed in the Napoleonic wars.
