Collyhurst Terrain De Jeux
Summary
A woman, employed by the local council, directs the play of the children on the Collyhurst playground. In the background is a row of terraced housing and sets of playground swings. The children, standing on the stony ground, gather round the woman, who seems to be teaching an action song. Most of the children are girls wearing pinafores over their clothes. All wear rather shabby shoes and socks or stockings. The children with their backs to us have loose, rather messy hair.
