Summary
Beside a maypole, a fiddler stands on a truncated upside down barrell. A formation of men (on the right) and women (on the left) holding hands promenade around to the left. The couple at the front of the group look surprised - the woman curtseys and the man has his mouth and eyes open wide and left hand held up, as they are confronted by another couple seen from behind with the man holding his hat in his hands. There is a tree on the right.
